Jeff Brohm and his Purdue squad gave it their all in Indianapolis. Unfortunately, a few too many missed opportunities caught up to the Boilermakers in the big loss to Michigan.

The past couple of weeks were especially tough for star quarterback Aidan O’Connell. O’Connell has been dealing with the recent death of his brother and was even away from the team until Wednesday leading up to the B1G Championship.

After the game, Brohm talked about his QB. Brohm knows its a tough situation you wouldn’t wish on anybody, but the head coach did say he was glad the country was able to see what O’Connell is all about.

Despite the missed practice time and playing with a heavy heart, O’Connell threw for 366 yards on a 32-for-47 night with 2 interceptions. Though they came up just short, O’Connell had the Boilermakers knocking on the door multiple times and can hold his head high after the game.

Now, Purdue will wait to see where the team lands in bowl season.
