Saquon Barkley’s name is mentioned just about every week. Whether it’s about the Heisman Trophy race, NFL draft stock, or SportsCenter highlights, the Penn State running back usually finds his way into the conversation.
But there’s more to Barkley than just what fans see on Saturday afternoon. A kinder, more generous side that’s somewhat hard to imagine when he’s running over defenders and embarrassing opponents ever single week. That’s the side that Big Ten Network wanted to highlight.
In a short clip from the television series The Journey BTN examined a story about Barkley’s generosity towards a fellow track star during his high school days. And after one extremely act of kindness, the two are now linked together.

Not many high school athletes are willing to surrender a medal of any kind, but Barkley did offered his because he felt like a fellow star deserved it.
