Ryan Day provides positive injury outlook for Ohio State’s roster entering CFP

Ryan Day and Ohio State have new life, landing in the College Football Playoff as the No. 4 seed on Sunday. Now, the Buckeyes will rest, regroup and prepare for a matchup against No. 1 Georgia.
One of the topics at the forefront of everyone’s mind once Ohio State received the nod was the status of star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Day admitted the Buckeyes will know a bit more in the days to come but did not have any formal comments on Smith-Njigba’s status.
While Day did not address Smith-Njigba’s lingering injury, he did provide a positive update on the rest of Ohio State’s roster. According Day, he thinks the Buckeyes will have everyone else not on a season-ending injury available.
Day on the injury situation with Jaxon Smith-Njigba and the other injured players: “Jaxon, we’ll see. But I think everyone else we’ll have.”

Some of those key players would be Miyan Williams who did not play vs. Michigan and a much healthier TreVeyon Henderson who has battled an injury throughout the season. Defensive lineman Mike Hall Jr. is another player the Buckeyes will need healthy to compete in the trenches with the Bulldogs.
