Big news out Columbus came as Ohio State offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Kevin Wilson is expected to be the new head coach of the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.

Wilson had a great 9 season run at Oklahoma from 2002-10, before becoming the head coach at Indiana & then OC at OSU.

The announcement is expected to come Tuesday per a report from Cayden McFarland with KJRH TV Tulsa. Despite accepting this new position, Wilson is expected to coach in the Buckeyes’ semi-final game against the Georgia Bulldogs on New Year’s Eve.

Wilson turned the Ohio State offense into one of the best in the country. They are ranked sixth overall in the country averaging about 500 yards per game.

The Buckeyes are also the best offense in the B1G. This is not the first time that Wilson has lived in Oklahoma. He at one point was the offensive coordinator under Bob Stoops at Oklahoma.

It will be interesting to see how Ohio State fills the position if Wilson is indeed leaving.
