ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren revealed the teams with the most transfer portal entries on Monday. Many players from around the country took advantage of the transfer window on its first day.
The window opened on Monday and closes on Jan. 18, 2023.
Colorado State and Louisiana Tech had the most out of any school with 15 players hitting the transfer portal. The only B1G school that was among those with the most was Maryland. The Terps had 11 players decide to go into the portal on Monday.
Teams who had the most transfer portal entries yesterday. Not an indictment on the schools, but interesting numbers no less.
Colorado State – 15
Louisiana Tech – 15
Arkansas – 13
Oregon – 13
Alabama – 11
Maryland – 11
Virginia Tech – 11
Kent State – 10
Texas A&M – 10— Tom VanHaaren (@TomVH) December 6, 2022
Maryland is once again playing in a bowl game. This is the first time that the team is going to back-to-back bowl games since 2013 and 2014. However, the team ended the year with a 7-5 record after a poor end to the season.
The Terps started the year at 4-1. Maryland was 6-2 heading into November, but then lost three of its last four to end the year. Regardless of how the year ended Maryland has a chance to finish strong against N.C. State in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
Maryland and N.C. State play on Dec. 30 at noon ET on ESPN.
