Brad Robbins won’t be able to cast a vote for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year award. If he did, the Michigan punter would be running to the ballot to vote for Jim Harbaugh.

Robbins took to Twitter to state a case for Harbaugh to walk away with the hardware. Instead of simply talking about the success of the 2022 season, Robbins rather looked at Harbaugh’s entire tenure in Ann Arbor.

The Wolverines have posted back-to-back 12+ win regular seasons under the 8th-year coach and will represent the B1G in the College Football Playoff for a 2nd consecutive season.

Harbaugh led the Wolverines to their first B1G title since 2004 after finishing 12-1 in 2021. Following a loss in the Orange Bowl to Georgia, Harbaugh drew interest from the NFL, evening interviewing for the head coaching vacancy with the Minnesota Vikings this past offseason.

A year later, Michigan finished undefeated for the first time since 1997. With a set of new coordinators, the Wolverines actually posted better production on both sides of the ball en route to a 43-22 win over Purdue in the B1G title game earlier this month.

Other candidates for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year award include TCU’s Sonny Dykes, Duke’s Mike Elko, Tulane’s Willie Fritz, USC’s Lincoln Riley, Troy’s Jon Sumrall and UTSA’s Jeff Traylor.

The No. 2 Wolverines will face the No. 3 Horned Frogs in the Fiesta Bowl at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. on Dec. 31. Since 2021, Michigan has gone 25-2 under Harbaugh’s tenure.
