Pair of B1G players listed as finalists for Polynesian Player of the Year Award

The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame has announced its finalists for the Polynesian Player of the Year Award which includes 2 B1G stars.
On Thursday afternoon, eight athletes were selected as finalists for the award, including B1G standouts: Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa and Ohio State defensive lineman J.T. Tuimoloau.

This award is “presented annually to the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry that epitomizes great ability and integrity,” per the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame.
Among Tagovailoa and Tuimoloau remain 6 other finalists, including: Oregon linebacker Noah Sewell, San Jose State defensive lineman Viliami Fehoko, Baylor defensive lineman Siaki Ika, UCLA defensive lineman Laiatu Latu, Utah offensive lineman Sataoa Laumea and USC defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu.
On December 13, 2022 the winner will be announced for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award. There will be a formal presentation of the Award that will be held at the 2023 Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Celebration Dinner on January 21, 2023.
