FWAA unveils 2022 All-America Team with 16 B1G standouts featured

Another list involving B1G players came out on Friday. The Football Writers Association of America released their 2022 All-America Team with 16 total B1G players featured.

There were first and second teams chosen for offense, defense, and specialists. The B1G actually had the most players selected on the first team by any conference with nine total. The B1G also had the most players make the second team as well with seven.

Nearly every school from the conference had someone make the team. Here are the members of the FWAA 2022 All-America Team from the B1G:

First Team Offense

  • RB Blake Corum, Michigan
  • WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State
  • OL Paris Johnson Jr., Ohio State
  • John Michael Schmitz, Minnesota
  • C Olusegun Oluwatimi, Michigan
  • OL Peter Skoronski, Northwestern

First Team Defense

  • LB Jack Campbell, Iowa
  • DB Devon Witherspoon, Illinois

First Team Specialists

  • P Tory Taylor, Iowa

Second Team Offense

  • RB Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota

Second Team Defense

  • DL Mike Morris, Michigan
  • LB Tommy Eichenberg, Ohio State
  • DB Joey Porter Jr. Penn State
  • DB John Torchio, Wisconsin

Second Team Specialists

  • P Bryce Baringer, Michigan State
  • AP Chase Brown, Illinois
