A pair of former B1G linemen appear set to make their NFL debuts in Week 14.

The Minnesota Vikings selected defensive end Esezi Otomewo and offensive tackle Vederian Lowe in the 5th and 6th rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft. Otomewo played his college ball at Minnesota while Lowe played for Illinois.

The 2 rookies have yet to be active for an NFL game. With DL Ross Blacklock and OT Christian Darrisaw both inactive, the rookies will get their chance.

Lowe started every game at left tackle for Illinois from 2018-2021. Lowe earned an All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2020 and 2021. Lowe was on PFF’s All-Big Ten 2nd team in 2021.

Otomewo collected 81 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 13.5 tackles for loss over 4 seasons for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Otomewo was invited to the 2021-22 Senior Bowl.
