It is has been a busy, but rough day for New York Giants punter Jamie Gillan as the Giants host the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14.
In the middle of the second quarter, Gillan took a punt and attempted to punt the ball deep in the Eagles’ territory. Instead, Gillan accidentally dropped the ball as the punt defense of Philadelphia was charging in.
Somehow the bounceback was high enough for him to get the ball away for a 15-yard punt. The play was ruled an illegal kick on Gillian as the ball was moved up to the Giants’ 33-yard line.

One play later, Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts found wide receiver A.J. Brown for a 33-yard touchdown to take a 21-0 lead.
The Giants (7-4-1) are battling to get back into the NFL Playoffs for the first time since 2016. They have not won the NFC East since the 2011 season.
They have not defeated an NFC East rival yet this season after losing to the Dallas Cowboys twice already and tying with the Washington Commanders in Week 13.
