Marvin Harrison Jr. has had quite the transformation in the last year and has built himself into Ohio State’s top WR. A football glow-up, so to speak.
At this same time last year, Harrison, who was a true freshman, had 5 career receptions. Harrison was used mostly as a reserve player behind Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave and only tallied 68 yards in his first year.

It wasn’t until the 2022 Rose Bowl that Harrison got his turn as a starter. Harrison made the most of the opportunity and tallied 6 catches for 71 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win over Utah.
In a B1G Today interview, Harrison credited the time he spent as a backup to Wilson and Olave for his growth and future success.
“I went through a lot, and I was blessed to sit behind Garrett (Wilson) and Chris (Olave) and learn a lot from them my first year, I think they helped me out a lot. I just learned from them how they push practice, how they push the week preparing for the opponents.”
A year ago at this time, @MarvHarrisonJr had 5 career receptions.
Today, he's @OhioStateFB's first WR to earn unanimous All-American honors. 🤩

That work has paid off in a big way. Harrison is now a unanimous All-American after leading the Buckeyes with 72 catches for 1,157 yards and 12 touchdowns.
