The Regents of the University of California announced a decision regarding the UCLA-to-B1G move on Wednesday.

By a vote of 11-5, the move to the B1G was approved by the board. The Regents agreed to revisit the issue after the Pac-12 lands a media deal. It is expected that UCLA will be required to pay a subsidy between $2-$10 million to the University of California in Berkley.

The subsidy is “to be used to enhance student-athlete support at that campus (Berkley).”

This means that the Bruins have officially cleared a major hurdle in their quest to join the B1G.
