Jaelen Smith, 2023 WR out of Houston, keeps 2 B1G programs on final list

Jaelen Smith is down to a list of three potential programs for his commitment. Two of those programs come from the B1G.

Wednesday night, Smith released a top three list of Michigan State and Minnesota. Vanderbilt out of the SEC was the third program included.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 lbs., Smith hails from Houston, Texas. 247 Sports rates Smith as a 3-star prospect and the No. 69 WR nationally for the class of 2023. He is also rated as the 74th player out of Texas.

As things currently stand, both Minnesota and Michigan State are looking to boost their respective classes heading into the Early Signing Period. PJ Fleck’s recruiting class currently ranks 46th nationally while Mel Tucker’s recruiting class ranks 33rd per the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
