Saturday’s in-state rivalry game between Michigan State and Michigan drew the highest viewer ratings of any college football game in Week 6, according to ESPN.

On Sunday morning, Chris Solari of the Detroit Free-Press tweeted that ABC’s broadcast of the game earned a 3.9 Nielsen rating overnight, the highest of any game on any network this past weekend.

Fans got quite a show, as the game between the Spartans and Wolverines came down to the final play, with Michigan State surviving with a 14-10 win over its rival.

It was a sloppy game but was entertaining considering the pouring rain, high wind and hard-nosed defensive game that both teams played from start to finish.

Michigan State improved to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in B1G play. The Wolverines are also 4-1 but 1-1 in conference play.
