The shot seemed like it would be enough to give the Buckeyes the victory. However, Peter Nance received the inbound pass just outside of the paint and hit a fadeaway jumper as the clock expired. The shot tied the game at 79 and forced overtime.

Unfortunately, the Buckeyes could not keep up with the Tar Heels in OT. The Tar Heels scored 10 points compared to the Buckeyes’ 5 in extra time. The Tar Heels would win the game 89-84, improving to 8-4 on the season.

The loss was the 3rd of the season for the Buckeyes, who fall to 7-3.
