Bernard was a 4-star WR out of Liberty High School in Henderson, Nevada. Bernard originally committed to the Huskies way back in 2020 before decommitting in January 2022.

Bernard would then commit to the Spartans and see action in all 12 games of his true freshman season. Bernard finished the season with 7 catches for 128 yards and 2 TDs.

The receiver will now join a Husky offense that ranked 1st in the nation in 2022 in offensive yards per game.
