Avery Henry, freshman OL for Ohio State, reveals cancer diagnosis

Avery Henry announced on his Twitter on Monday the heartbreaking news that has osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. Henry said that he was diagnosed a few days ago.

Henry enrolled at Ohio State on June 1 as a former 3-star offensive tackle from St. Clairsville, Ohio. He was the 58th-rated offensive tackle and the 20th-rated from the state of Ohio, according to 247Sports Composite.

He chose to play for the Buckeyes out of 5 other schools including Iowa State, Syracuse, and West Virginia.

Henry gave a small message after his announcement:

“I will fight this! I have never been a statistic and I never will! I want to thank my brothers and coaches for the endless support!”

Henry did not address his football future, with his health being the top priority right now.
