Everyone that’s visited Northwestern’s new athletic facility has raved about what its construction will do for the university’s sports teams. That’s without the massive structure even being close to completed.

Recently, Big Ten Network host Dave Revsine was able to get a behind-the-scenes look at the new facility with Vice President for Athletics & Recreation Jim Phillips.

While there isn’t really too much to gawk at just yet, the incredible size and space of the new building is pretty remarkable:

Yeah, that could definitely be a game-changer for Northwestern Athletics.

The new facility is scheduled to open in 2018 and is expected to help with recruiting as well as athletic performance. The Wildcats were a little late to the arms race, but they should definitely be more competitive for some prized recruits in the near future.
