Iowa made a nice late push for one prospect, landing a commitment from a 3-star running back out of Texas previously pledged to Purdue.

The player is Terrell Washington Jr., a versatile 5-foot-9 and 200 lb. RB out of Wylie, Texas. According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Washington is the No. 63 RB in the country.

Washington was originally committed to Purdue in June, but the coaching change of the Boilermakers led Washington to reopen his recruitment in December. Iowa made a quick push with an offer on Dec. 14 and an official visit from Washington on Dec. 17.

Now, the Hawkeyes have his commitment ahead of the Early Signing Period. Washington joins 3-star prospect, Kamari Moulton, as RBs committed to Iowa this cycle.

Washington was a versatile back in high school with over 2,500 yards rushing and over 1,100 yards receiving. He had 22 total touchdowns as a senior in 2022 with over 1,200 yards of offense.
