Four teams? Eight teams? Sixteen teams?

That’s the debate everyone is having when it comes to the College Football Playoff system. Some love the four-team layout, others want a slight expansion and some want a lot more teams included. How will we ever settle on the proper number of teams?

Don’t worry, Mike Leach is here to save the day.

Monday, Leach added another epic rant to his resume, this time on expanding the College Football Playoff. And, believe me, it’s definitely worth your time.

Leach does make a solid argument in that every other level of football has a broader playoff system that includes more teams. It’s kind of interesting the FBS hadn’t adopted a similar model long ago.

Even though I’m not an advocate of expanding the Playoff, he does make some really good points.

Maybe you agree with Leach and maybe you don’t. But there’s one thing we can all agree on: anytime we get the chance to get the Washington State head coach riled up, it’s going to make for an excellent soundbite.
