Kadyn Proctor is making a change. The 6-foot-7, 330-pound offensive tackle signed with the Alabama Crimson Tide after originally committing to the Iowa Hawkeyes. Proctor is listed as the top tackle in the 2023 class and No. 5 prospect overall in the country according to 247 Sports.
It’s an extra burn on Iowa as Proctor attended nearby Southeast Polk High School in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Nick Saban’s grab is the latest in a long line of top offensive linemen to head to Tuscaloosa.
On Early Signing Day, Proctor addressed the flip and revealed he felt like he “was settling” with the Hawkeyes. Proctor also said after flipping to the Tide that he loves the fact he’s “not an outlier in the rankings” for Alabama.
He told @SWiltfong247 this yesterday: “I love that I’m not an outlier in the rankings. There’s like-minded people, really, really good players in the class I can relate to and have great competition with.” https://t.co/IU5y8CZQlt

Somewhat interesting comments by Proctor. While Alabama is one of the top teams in the country, Iowa has done a nice job producing offensive linemen with an emphasis on running the football.
Proctor could be a future Outland Trophy winner and top draft pick with his potential. In fairness to Iowa, the Hawkeyes won’t be the first or the last program to lose out to Alabama in the recruiting market.
