Neeo Avery, 4-star Edge, just signed with the Maryland Terrapins flipping him from Ole Miss who has been favored for a majority of his recruitment. Avery is ranked the No. 7 prospect in his state and is ranked as the No. 38 Edge per the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

Coach Mike Locksley was able to keep the 6-foot-3 and 230-pound Avery home and has made it a clear priority to add to the Terps’ defensive front. Avery is from Olney, Maryland and attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School.

Avery has great length and a very quick first step from the outside which is what interested Maryland this summer. In July, he was committed to Ole Miss but in the last weeks and months, the Terrapins gained a lot of momentum.

Avery will join two other Edges who have already signed with Maryland. Dylan Gooden and Rico Walker, both 4-stars, are also part of this class.
