Michigan transfers Cade McNamara’s and Erick All’s health may be able to participate in Spring Practice for the Hawkeyes per coach Kirk Ferentz. Both joined Iowa this off-season via the transfer portal with some health concerns.

All entered the transfer portal on Dec. 5 after missing much of the 2022 season due to a season-ending injury. In 2021, All was an All-B1G honorable mention with 437 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

McNamara suffered an injury to his leg in Week 3 while in a quarterback battle with J.J McCarthy. In 2021, McNamara threw for 2,576 yards and 15 touchdowns leading the Wolverines to the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.

McNamara is a multi-year starter and the first big-name quarterback to transfer to another school. Iowa’s offense this season was ranked 123rd nationally in scoring and desperately needs help in several key positions.

All has two years of eligibility remaining and he is expected to continue his career in the NFL.
