Earlier today, the B1G came out and said that Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward’s targeting penalty against Maryland was an error. With that information, BTN debated what is and what isn’t targeting.
Targeting continues to be a story.

Ward definitely did not lead with the crown of head. So it was definitely a mistake. However, the definition of targeting does need to be cleared up so a controversial penalty like that does not happen again.
