At the end of the day, the Ohio State HC didn’t want to focus on calling out other programs for paying recruits. However, Day noted that there are plenty of things that need to be discussed in that area.
Ryan Day said specifically calling out other schools for paying recruits isn’t a road he wants to go down, but says “There’s certainly a lot of things that need to be discussed.”

Day understands that with the changing NIL landscape Ohio State needs to adapt. The Buckeyes lost out on a few recruits on Early Signing Day, but Day knows that it comes with the territory.
On recent decommitments in the program, Day says there was a time when other schools stopped recruiting players after they committed, but that isn’t the case anymore. “It’s the way things are going … we just have to adapt.”

Day remembers when programs used to not recruit players anymore after they had committed. Those days are long gone.
