Cincinnati expected to hire rising personnel director from Ohio State

Cincinnati will hire Zach Grant, former director of player personnel for Ohio State, as a general manager, it was announced Thursday afternoon. Grant previously helped Western Kentucky with landing some of the best players in the Conference USA and is considered to be a rising star in the personnel world.

Grant will work under Scott Satterfield, former Louisville head coach, as the Bearcats move from the AAC to the Big 12 conference. Under coach Luke Fickell, Cincinnati has been extremely successful with an appearance in the College Football Playoff with a long list of players who were in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Cincinnati understands that talent is critical for the program’s success and the recent addition of Grant is a major hire as they join the power 5. With the Buckeyes, Grant helped Ohio State land another top recruiting class for 2023 which is the ranked the best in the B1G per 247Sports.
