Marcus Dumervil, a former offensive lineman for the LSU Tigers, will continue to play tackle with Maryland in the 2023 season, announcing the Terrapins program as his transfer destination Thursday. The 6’5″ 306 pound tackle will have 2 years of eligibility remaining after his 3 seasons with the Tigers, making use of the additional 2020 Covid-19 eligibility year.

Dumervil is a former 4-star who was rated as the No. 111 prospect in the 2020 class per 247Sports. He was also named the No. 11 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 17 player in the state of Florida.

He’s the 11th LSU player to enter the portal and the 2nd offensive lineman after Cam Wire made his declaration. Dumervil typically was used in a reserve role during his time at LSU.

He will join a Maryland program who seemingly is on the rise and looks to become a competitive team moving forward. Any other additions to the Terrapins roster will take place in the 1st transfer window for the  portal which runs from December 5 to January 18.
