Jim Harbaugh is excited about the idea of deploying Kendrick Bell.

Bell, who is the younger brother of Michigan WR Ronnie Bell, is a 3-star QB recruit out of Kansas City, Missouri. On Wednesday, Bell officially signed his letter of intent with the Wolverines.

Bell originally committed to the Wolverines back in October of 2022, following in his brother’s footsteps. Harbaugh is excited to work with another Bell and spoke highly of Ronnie Bell at an Early Signing Day presser.

“We struck lightning with Ronnie Bell as a great player and a great teammate. You talk about somebody who’s always willing to put the team first — Ronnie Bell epitomizes that,” said Harbaugh.

Harbaugh then moved on to Kendrick, speaking glowingly of the younger Bell’s potential.

“Brother Kendrick, great athlete who loves to compete. He’s told me he’s willing to play any position. So it could be at quarterback, could be at receiver, could be at corner — he’s got the skill set to play all those,” said Harbaugh. “So, we’ll start him out at QB and we’ll roll from there. But extremely productive football player who’s very versatile.”

With JJ McCarthy expected to be the starting QB for the foreseeable future, it bodes well for Bell to be versatile. Harbaugh seems open to getting Bell on the field in any way possible.
