Purdue is losing defensive linemen at a staggering pace.

Within the past week, the Boilermakers have lost defensive tackles Branson Deen, Lawrence Johnson and Greg Hudgins. On Friday, they were joined in the transfer portal by yet another defensive lineman, veteran defensive end Jack Sullivan, who announced his plans for next season.

Sullivan is a fifth-year senior, and will enter the portal as a graduate transfer. Sullivan has been a integral part of the Boilermaker defense this season, leading the team with 5.5 sacks and 7.5 TFLs. He also has amassed 38 tackles in 13 starts this season, good enough for fifth spot on the team.

Sullivan will remain with the team for the bowl game before transferring. Both Dean and Johnson will also remain at Purdue for the bowl game, while Hudgins has already left West Lafayette. Purdue will take on LSU in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 2.
