Micah Parsons is gearing up to play in Saturday’s pivotal NFC East contest against Philadelphia Eagles.

The Dallas Cowboys are in the playoff hunt and have an important game against the Eagles on Christmas Eve. It was uncertain if Parsons would be able to play in the game as he was dealing with an illness throughout the week. Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs was also dealing with an illness.

Parsons was listed as questionable, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Parsons should be able to play on Christmas Eve. Parsons is an integral part of the Cowboys’ defense. The Cowboys are looking to take advantage of an Eagles team that will be without quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Hurts will miss Saturday’s game with a shoulder injury and backup quarterback Gardner Minshew will start in Hurts’ place. The Cowboys will try to make Minshew’s appearance a rough one.

On the season, Parsons registered 59 combined tackles and 13 sacks in 14 games. Parsons is 4th in the NFL in sacks. With Parsons being expected to play, he will try to climb up the sack leaders list in Week 16. Parsons trails San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa by 2.5 sacks for the league lead in sacks.

The Cowboys will face the Eagles at 4:25 p.m. ET.
