WATCH: Nebraska's Joshua Kalu talks about making impacts on the field, in the community
Being a major collegiate athlete provides students the opportunity to make a difference on the field and in the community. It gets overlooked, but so many student-athletes can make quite a difference outside of the stadium, as well.
Nebraska’s Joshua Kalu is one of those players.
Kalu, a safety for the Huskers, was nominated to the Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List earlier this season, an award that honors college football’s defensive best in character and performance, according to the website. Recently, the Nebraska defender sat down for an interview, and discussed the impact he’s made on the field and in the community during his time in Lincoln.
