Nico Ragaini was one of Iowa’s most experienced receivers during the 2022 season. On Tuesday, he provided a jolt to the Hawkeyes for next season.

The veteran wide receiver announced he will return and utilize his sixth season of eligibility with the Hawkeyes in 2023. Ragaini was the top WR piece for the Iowa offense this season.

During the 2022 season, Ragaini finished second on the Hawkeyes and led all Iowa WRs with 32 catches for 365 yards and added a touchdown. He was the only non-TE member of Iowa’s offense to finish with more than 200 yards receiving for the year.

Already, Iowa’s offense for 2023 is trending in a positive direction. The Hawkeyes have landed former Michigan stars Cade McNamara and Erick All via the transfer portal and will also return leading rusher Kaleb Johnson.
