Junior Colson and the Michigan defense have made a habit out of wearing teams down over all four quarters of a game. It’s the kind of approach that may not produce flashy moments, but it’s a style the Wolverines have grown quite fond of.

During Wednesday’s media availability, Colson admitted Michigan likes to watch as the “spark dwindles” when they jump on teams early. “That’s when we start having fun,” said Colson while also admitting the Wolverines enjoy that approach.

From there, Colson says the team stays focused on “choking them out” once Michigan gets an opponent in the palm of your hand.

As for Michigan’s offensive line, Colson knows no team wants to go up against the men up front for the Wolverines. It is a top-class unit that has captured the Joe Moore Award in back-to-back seasons.

Colson leads the elite Wolverine defense with 95 total tackles on the season. He also has 6 TFL and 2 sacks while holding opponents to 13.4 points per game this season.
