Plummer initially signed with Purdue out of the class of 2018 and redshirted his true freshman season. Through 7 games and 6 starts as a redshirt freshman, he threw for 1,603 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions in 2019. In 2020, he started 3 times, throwing 8 touchdowns versus 2 interceptions.
He started the 2021 season as the Boilermakers’ starter but was ultimately benched in favor of Aidan O’Connell. Through 7 games, he threw for 864 yards and just 7 touchdowns. Seeking a fresh start, the Arizona native entered the transfer portal and landed closer to home at Cal, where he totaled 3,095 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. The Golden Bears went 4-8, including a 2-7 mark in the Pac-12.
Now, Plummer is headed to Louisville and will again play under Brohm as the latter takes the reins of his alma mater following Scott Satterfield’s hiring at Cincinnati.
