Michigan was waiting for that big play all afternoon.

Finally, early in the fourth quarter, the Wolverines struck up some magic and dialed up a long run to create some separation from Indiana in Bloomington.

On a first down play, Karan Higdon took a handoff and was able to take advantage of a hole on the offensive line and some hesitation by Indiana’s star linebacker Tegray Scales. Higdon needed just a little room and sprinted 59 yards past the Hoosiers’ defense for a touchdown.

The score put Michigan ahead 20-10 in the fourth quarter.

It was the second touchdown run for Higdon on the day and the fourth of the season. He entered Saturday’s game with 201 yards on 45 carries.
