The Michigan-Indiana game was as entertaining as they come. The Wolverines looked like they had the contest in the bag to only allow the Hoosiers to tie the matchup and send it into overtime.
Although Michigan would go onto win, 27-20, in overtime against Indiana, the game drew outstanding ratings.
According to ESPN’s PR department, the contest earned a 2.9 overnight, the highest-rated game of the week across all networks and ties as the best rating for a noon ET game of the season, also across all networks. Georgia Tech vs. Miami (3:30 p.m., ABC) earned a 2.5 overnight while Oklahoma vs. Texas (3:30 p.m., ESPN) earned a 2.4 Nielsen overnight in the late afternoon timeslot, the second and third highest-rated games of the day, respectively.
That’s impressive because they were a lot of high-quality games this weekend.
