The Penn State-Ohio State game scheduled for Oct. 28 could go a long way in determining the outcome of the Heisman race at the end of the season.
After Week 7, Las Vegas Super Book updated its Heisman odds, and both Saquon Barkley and J.T. Barrett are right in the thick of the race, as both have some of the best odds to bring home the prestigious award.
Heisman odds via @LVSuperBook: Love 7-5 Barkley 8-5 Barrett & Mayfield 7-1 Rudolph 10-1 Jackson 15-1 Darnold 35-1 Hurts 50-1 Browning 60-1

Barkley has the B1G’s best odds at 8-5. while Barrett has 7-1 odds, tying him with Baker Mayfield. Stanford’s Bryce Love has the best odds in college football at 7-5.
Both Barkley and Barrett have been sensational through the first half of the season. Barkley has 1,302 all-purpose yards and has accounted for 10 touchdowns in Penn State’s 6-0 start. Barrett has thrown for 1,838 yards and 21 touchdowns with just one interception.
So yeah, whoever performs the best in a few weeks — and whichever team comes out on top — may play a huge role in the Heisman Trophy race at the end of the year.
This week, Penn State hosts Michigan while Ohio State enjoys the bye week.
