Steele Chambers gave his all in the College Football Playoff 2022 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl against the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs. Chambers was a part of a Buckeyes’ defense that held their own up until the last quarter of the game as the team lost 42-41 on a heartbreaking missed 50-yard field goal.

Despite losing to Michigan for the second consecutive season, Ohio State was able to get into the CFP for the fifth time in program history. Ohio State was short of making the championship game, but that doesn’t mean the 2022 season was a bust.

Chambers was asked about what he will remember the most this season. “Just having fun with each other. I love these guys, I wouldn’t trade them for the world,” Chambers explained.

He was asked about what head coach Ryan Day said to the team in the locker room after the loss:

“I mean, he told us pretty straight, there’s not much he can do to make us feel better,” said Chambers. “We just gotta do better as a team, gotta do better as individuals, gotta come back next year.”

Chambers accounted for 8 total tackles, 5 solo tackles, and 0.5 sacks in the loss.
