Justin Fields is off to a strong start for the Chicago Bears (3-12) as they are on the road versus the Detroit Lions (7-8). The Lions are fighting for an NFC Wild Card spot in the playoffs, but Fields is trying to spoil those hopes on Sunday.

In the first quarter of play, Fields has rushed for 105 yards on 5 carries while also throwing for 17 yards. He ripped off one play that went for 60 yards and set up a field goal by the Bears:

Going into Week 16, Fields has rushed for 1,011 yards (7th most in the league) and 8 touchdowns on 150 carries. He has the most rushing yards by a quarterback this season in the NFL.

Fields has been one of the most productive rushing quarterbacks this season and one of the most efficient rushers in NFL history.

Fields was drafted by the Chicago Bears with the 11th overall pick from Ohio State to be the franchise quarterback. With the Bears not having a reliable receiver, Fields has been having to create an offense with his legs.

His latest rush of 60+ yards also adds to Fields’ impressive body of work. He has 3 rushes of 60 yards or more which is more than every other QB has produced combined in the past 5 seasons.

Fields’ 105 rushing yards in a single quarter are also the most in the last 45 seasons in the NFL.
