The Boilermakers didn’t have a good performance in the 63-7 loss in the 2023 Citrus Bowl to LSU, but their thoughts are more with Burks and his health. Burks, in turn, finished his sophomore season catching 15 receptions for 149 yards.
Purdue was dominated by LSU on both sides of the ball as the Tigers outgained the Boilermakers in total yards accounting for 594-to-263. The Boilermakers also turned the ball over 3 times while the Tigers turned the ball over once.
Purdue finished the 2022 season with an overall record of 8-6 (6-3 in B1G play) and are set to begin the Ryan Walters era this off-season after Jeff Brohm left to become the head coach of Louisville.
