RJ Young has released his way-too-early picks for the 2023 Heisman Trophy that includes 2 B1G players. From the B1G, Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy are the players that Young believes have the best chance to win the Heisman next season.

Other players that in on Young’s radar are newly added Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in USC quarterback Caleb Williams.

Harrison finished the 2022 season with 77 receptions for 1,263 yards (sixth in the nation) and 14 touchdowns (fourth in the nation). He could be the third pure wide receiver to win the Heisman Trophy and the first since 2020 when Alabama’s DeVonta Smith won it.

McCarthy finished with 2,719 passing yards (1,509 less than Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud) and the second-best quarterback rating of 155.

Sanders has completed 341-of-483 of his passes for 3,732 yards, 40 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 160.4 this 2022 season at Jackson State.
