Folks headed to Beaver Stadium for Saturday’s game between Michigan and Penn State might want to double-check their tickets.

Fans are being advised by Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics that there’s an increased number of counterfeit and illegal tickets on the market. While this has been an ongoing issue this season, the problem is expected to grow this weekend for Saturday’s prime time showdown between Penn State and Michigan.

The Penn State Athletic Ticket Office has advised fans to purchase tickets only through authorized sources, which includes the ticket office itself as well as Ticketmaster.

Anyone who tries to gain entry with a counterfeit ticket or barcode will be denied.

This is the second warning that’s come up in the B1G in recent weeks. A few weeks ago, Michigan’s Athletic Ticket Office warned of an increased number of counterfeit tickets prior to the Wolverines’ night game against Michigan State.

Saturday’s game between Michigan and Penn State will start at 7:30 pm.
