Damar Hamlin update: Buffalo Bills safety discharged from hospital

Damar Hamlin received some great news on Monday. The Buffalo Bills safety was discharged from the Cincinnati hospital where he was being treated, per ESPN’s Coley Harvey.
Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field against the Cincinnati Bengals on Jan. 2.
Hamlin was transferred directly from the ICU to a facility in Buffalo on Monday, and UC Health officials made sure to speak with members of Hamlin’s care team to confirm that he is doing very well.
Hamlin was selected by the Bills in the 6th round of the 2021 NFL Draft after spending his college career at Pitt. The outpouring of support from fans around the country for Hamlin was an amazing sight to see and now it looks like it’s paid off.
UC Health doctors have spoken with his care team in Buffalo, and confirm that he is doing well. He’s now at the next phase of his recovery, per UC Health doctors.

Hamlin was seen walking around the Cincinnati hospital since Friday after his breathing tube was removed. Doctors also described Hamlin as “neurologically intact,” which means he has been walking normally.
