Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley has raked in some national honors after leading the Nittany Lions to a convincing 42-13 win over Michigan on Saturday night.

Sunday morning, McSorley was named the Walter Camp FBS Player of the Week, along with Miami linebacker Michael Pinckney. Bruce Feldman tweeted the announcement.

McSorley was a dynamic weapon for the Nittany Lions on Saturday night, proving to get the job done through the air as well as on the ground. He finished the day completing 17-of-26 yards for 282 yards and a touchdown. He was even more effective on the ground, rushing for 76 yards and three scores on 11 carries.

Penn State’s offense completely eviscerated the Wolverines’ defense, which had been one of the nation’s best statistically entering the game.

The Nittany Lions are now 7-0 on the season and head to Columbus next Saturday for a top 10 showdown with Ohio State.
