Half of the top six spots in the FWAA-NFF ‘Super 16’ Poll belongs to the B1G.
Sunday morning, the Football Writers Association of America released its ‘Super 16’ Poll after the conclusion of Week 8, and three B1G teams occupy the top six spots.
Penn State leads the way at No. 2 while Wisconsin sits at No. 5 and Ohio State ranks sixth. Both the Nittany Lions and the Badgers posted lopsided wins on Saturday while the Buckeyes were on a bye week.

Alabama still owns the top spot and was the only team to receive first place votes. Georgia was at No. 3 and TCU at No. 4 to round out the top five rankings.
Michigan State just missed the cut, receiving 50 votes to crack the top 16. The Spartans are 6-1 after knocking off Indiana 17-9. Despite the 42-13 loss to Penn State, Michigan still received one vote.
One thing has become clear in these rankings: as long as Alabama continues to win these games convincingly, nobody has a shot to overtake that No. 1 spot.
