Mike Woodson is proud of how the Hoosiers bounced back after a 3-game losing streak. On Saturday, Indiana upset No. 18 Wisconsin, defeating the Badgers 63-45 in front a home crowd in Bloomington.
After the game, Woodson spoke to the press about snapping the losing streak, saying “Our guys answered the bell tonight. Our backs were somewhat against the wall. Losing three in a row is not fun for anybody.”

Before Saturday, Indiana’s last win came in late December against Kennesaw State. The Hoosiers improved to 11-6 on the season, and 2-4 in conference play.
After Saturday’s win, Woodson also addressed the Indiana defense, which has struggled the past several weeks. Indiana has allowed 80 points in 3 consecutive B1G games for the first time since 1998. In his defense, Woodson stated, “I know defense wins basketball games.”
At least on Saturday, the effort of the Hoosiers was much better as they held Wisconsin to 32% shooting and a 5-for-24 effort from 3-point range. We’ll see if Indiana can build on that moving forward.
