Ohio State women’s basketball improved to 18-0 on Saturday after beating Nebraska.

The team’s 18th win in a row sets a new program record for the best start to a season. The Buckeyes have dominated this season, winning a majority of games by double digits.

On Saturday, the 3rd-ranked Buckeyes were in control for the vast majority of the game against the Cornhuskers. The Buckeyes shot over 50% from the field and from 3-point range, winning by a score of 76-67.

The Buckeyes are led by Taylor Mikesell, a senior guard who is averaging 18.8 points per game and is shooting 40% from 3. The Buckeye’s next test will be at home against Northwestern.

Ohio State, LSU, and South Carolina are the lone remaining unbeaten teams in women’s college basketball. The Buckeyes currently lead the B1G but are followed closely by Iowa and Indiana.

The Buckeyes will face Iowa and Indiana back-to-back in the near future with a home game against the Hawkeyes on Jan. 23 followed by a road trip to Indiana on Jan. 26.
