The 2017 season hasn’t gone like Michigan envisioned. The Wolverines are unranked and their college playoff chances are dashed.
Following an embarrassing 42-13 loss to Penn State last Saturday, Michigan has a 5-2 record and is tied with Rutgers for fourth-place in the Big Ten East Division.
Despite the team’s struggles, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said at his Monday press conference that he believes his team is able to turn the season around and finish on a high note.
“I believe that our team will respond. There’s a standard that we have to play to and need to be at. But the opportunity to learn that and go through that, that’s a tremendous opportunity to get the team to where it needs to be.”
Michigan faces Rutgers at home with kickoff set for noon ET on Saturday.
