Sam Hubbard is all about Ohio to his core, committing to Ohio State and playing for the Buckeyes as a 4-star prospect out of Cincinnati. He would eventually be drafted by the hometown Bengals in the 2018 NFL Draft and has gone on to become a key piece of the defense.

During the regular season, Hubbard started 15 games for Cincinnati and finished second on the team with 6.5 sacks and led the Bengals with 11 TFL. He also provided a dramatic defensive touchdown that proved to be a game-winner on Sunday.

With the Baltimore Ravens on the goal line and looking to take a lead in the fourth quarter, Cincinnati’s defense came up with a stop and forced a fumble on a QB sneak trying to go over the top. Hubbard scooped up that fumble and was off.

Mark Andrews never quit on the play, doing his absolute best to run down Hubbard, but the defensive end was able to channel up just enough gas to stay ahead and on his feet for the touchdown. The score gave Cincinnati a 24-17 lead which would also prove to be the final score.
