There’s a reason that I don’t do this for a living.

I mean betting, not writing. Believe it or not, they still let me do the latter.

But as a betting man, I wouldn’t make myself or anyone else any money. Last week was a good example of why that was the case. If not for L.J. Scott mistakingly running into the end zone to cover the spread against Indiana, I would’ve been looking at a bagel.

Zippo. Zilch. Nada.

I’m pretty sure I would’ve thrown in the towel if I had an 0-fer. Let’s be honest. Why would anyone want to listen to that guy? He couldn’t even get ONE B1G game right. You could’ve had a goldfish make picks better than I could. Even my wife’s hamster at work is in a football pool and she’s never had a goose egg.

But thanks to Scott, I got one right. So I’m still here, making football picks and pretending to be an expert.

LAST WEEK

  • Dustin Schutte: 3-3
  • Garrett Kroeger: 3-3
  • Connor O’Gara: 1-5

SEASON

  • Schutte: 40-27
  • Kroeger: 35-32
  • O’Gara: 34-33
